When I first knew him he was Dr. Keith Mumby. This man saved my life. In 1983 I was living in Grimsby, having moved from Manchester, and was really unwell for three years. My GP was really good and tried to help me. He sent me to see two gut specialists in Grimsby and we got nowhere, so he sent me to see another gut specialist in Beverley near Hull, and we still got nowhere. It was decided I had Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) which means we do not know what is wrong with you and it could be all in your mind. So not only did I have a Physical problem, I now had a Mental issue as well. I am sure they would have started surgically to remove some of my large intestine eventually, followed by more interventions later.
In 1986 I viewed Dr. Keith Mumby, a Clinical Ecologist, as he was on a BBC Panorama programme from Withington Hospital in Manchester. He had a ward full of people who the NHS were unable to make well. He had a lady on his ward who had exactly the same symptoms as me and he cured her in around eight days, I think. She had been everywhere trying to resolve her problems, and she had the money, and had even been to see a Harley Street specialist without success. Dr. Keith Mumby had just written a book named ‘The Food Allergy Plan’. So I bought the book and cured myself in less than two weeks with the help of my wife Linda.
My main food intolerances were bread and milk. I never looked back and had boundless energy, so much so that I took on the Head of Governors role at the local school and was on the Board of Governors at another school, helped run a boys’ football team for 11 year olds and stuck with them until they were 18. I offered my help to a lady and her husband who had just started a Food Intolerance Group and became their first Committee member. In a time when the medical profession did not believe in Food Allergies or Intolerances we had 31 people at our first meeting. We helped many of them and many more who joined later.
I must have bought 80 copies of Dr. Keith Mumby’s book and gave them away to people who needed them. However, it is not just about food; it is about everything in our environment. This includes Geopathic Stress (GS), which is invisible but is the cause of between 25 and 30% of cancer deaths. Like Radon Gas it is invisible but, whereas the UK has a Radon Gas map showing where it is, there is no map showing GS. There is no real recognition in the UK of GS; however, it affects animals, birds, fish, insects, trees, shrubs, plants and micro-organisms as well as humans
