Essex Field Club was founded in 1880 to promote the study of the natural history, geology and prehistoric archaeology of the county of Essex and its borderlands.Their core objective is to study and record the natural history of the county.
The Essex Field Club’s Exhibition and Social Meeting is the event when different naturalists, natural history and wildlife groups and organisations can showcase what they have been up to in the county in the previous year.
