In April, local charity Trust Links opened the Growing Together Shoeburyness project. This is a new project at the old allotments on Elm Road. The project is transforming the vacant allotments into a Community Garden, that will include vegetable growing, an orchard area,polytunnels and space for training.
The project is modelled on Growing Together Westcliff, which is an award winning community garden on Fairfax Drive in Southend that was established thirteen years ago.
