If you don’t already have the Zoom client software installed on your PC, phone or tablet, it will download automatically when you access the link shown on the invitation.
It’s probably a good idea to do this a few minutes before the first meeting starts as it can take a little time to familiarise with and install.
Please try to make sure that your camera, microphone and speakers on your device are all working properly before joining the meeting as this can help avoid delays in getting the meeting underway.
Individual to each user – in the same way you sometimes turn on your PC and it tells you to wait for updating – Zoom will occasionally force you to wait while it downloads and installs updates. Does not affect anyone else, whether you do or not – but guaranteed that, if you are already running late, it will add to the problem.
You can, of course, use the web app if there are any problems.
But even better… just visit https://zoom.us/test and run through the tests there.
