☺️? Our vision of ‘good food for all, produced with care for the natural world’ lies at the heart of food security.
???? In a post-COVID19 world, our government will look to rebuild the economy. The temptation will be to refer back to systems which already existed in an attempt to provide food security for the people. But is this the right approach? Has the pandemic taught us a lesson about how secure this system actually was?
???? And how good was the food system for tackling the other crises we face; the climate, nature and health crises?
When we seek to recover, we must support a transition to local, resilient food systems. Not only do these systems provide us with security, but they are also better for the environment.
✊ We must Build Back Better, and we can. If you are interested, have a read of this blog on food security in the UK, written by our Director of Policy and Strategy, Jo Lewis ? ow.ly/I8v450AiGvb
