Having had a few run-ins myself with skin problems, I’ve been inspired to set up this petition after listening to a speech by Chris Bryant, Member of Parliament for Rhondda.
Scrap VAT on sunscreen! Sun cream preparations are a necessity, not a luxury!
The most significant risk factor in the development of Basal Cell Carcinoma is long-term exposure to sunlight and episodes of burning in the sun. The message to cover up should be heard loud and clear for all, but for many, SPF-30+ is a hefty price to pay in some areas.
Removing VAT would indefinitely save lives.
