We have since learned that Southend-on-Sea has actually been represented at the last two Sustainable Food Cities events in Bristol (2015) and Liverpool (2016). See the slide with the cities, including Southend ….. 
To be part of the Sustainable Food Cities network they tend to want to see a District, City or Borough wide strategy develop through partnership working. There is some good stuff happening in Southend-on-Sea, obviously through Trust Links and other outlets. Giles Tofield, Cultural Engine CIC, has suggested the establishment of some kind of ‘Food Board’ or ‘Partnership’ like most of the other cities in the Food Cities network have where sharing of information, joint projects and joint approach would be possible. He would be very keen to support and help coordinate this.
