Paul Bush | Garden Asst. Producer is looking for home owners who are fed up with their gardens or whose gardens need a complete overhaul and for them to take part in an exciting new series.
Braintree and the surrounding area of SE Essex would be the ideal location, with the kinds of gardens he is looking for. He would like to celebrate and utilise the surrounding areas in which they film, making the most of mature trees, using plants from local garden centres and so on.
The show will be fronted by award-winning landscape designer, Alan Gardner. Alan has over 25 years’ experience and has won awards at world famous RHS shows Chelsea, Tatton Park and Hampton Court. Alan designs both high-concept gardens and traditional landscapes, and attributes his unique perspective to his Asperger syndrome, which has given him a heightened understanding of complex patterns and shapes.
Alan is looking to take on a select number of new clients whose gardens he can redesign as part of this project. They are interested in any type of garden up to around 70 foot in length, from urban roof terraces to cottage gardens, overgrown lawns to bare patches of dirt. Using his expert knowledge and experience, Alan will transform unloved, unruly and unkempt outdoor spaces into exciting bespoke gardens.
The gardens they are looking to feature must be in need of a full redesign and available during late summer 2014, and homeowners should be open to being on television. Selected clients will only need to contribute to the cost of raw materials at trade price; however, this small investment is a fraction of the cost that a bespoke and unique project like this would normally involve.
