First earlies (FE) are the varieties with the shorter growing period; Second earlies (SE) need a slightly longer growing period; Early main crops EM).
Care is taken to source from UK suppliers, not for jingoistic reasons but to reduce the spread of the pathogen, brown rot, from mainland Europe. We encourage organic suppliers.
