SEEOG members, John and Corinne Layton, have won the Daily Mail National Garden Competition 2013. There were more than 2,000 entries and the judges said that a striking number of entries were gardens that were managed organically – one of the four finalists was an organic farmer. The judges described their garden as a ‘subtle organic masterpiece’ – and they are thrilled!
Britain’s greenest fingers: The winners of this year’s National Garden Competition say the 30 years of graft were worth it.
‘Corinne, 65, a retired trade union officer, and her husband John, 63, a consulting engineer, are still on cloud nine after winning. ‘I didn’t know what the judges would make of it,’ Corinne admits.
