I am writing to let you know that I will be leaving Garden Organic at the end of August this year.
I have greatly enjoyed my time at Garden Organic, working with inspiring members, staff and volunteers in taking our work out to new audiences.
It is especially encouraging to see the progress we have made in demonstrating and proving that gardening and growing has real, profound benefits for people’s health and wellbeing, the community and for the environment.
To see our members take such a keen interest and passion in our work, through our campaigning work such as our Fighting Fund and through volunteering in their local communities, has fuelled me to make sure I try and represent the values and beliefs that you have.
I look forward to being able to work with and support Garden Organic’s work in the future, as I continue to work in the food and community sector as a consultant “I want to work with many different partners and organisations in the future.
The Board of Trustees, your Council, will be starting their recruitment for a new Chief Executive with immediate effect and I will be working closely with them and my staff to ensure a smooth and successful transition.
Do please get in touch if you would like. Finally, a deep heart felt thank you to all of you I have had the pleasure of meeting over the last six years. You have been challenging, inspiring and generous in equal measures and a testament to members of a true and noble cause!
