‘ARE THERE ANY APPLES IN SOUTHEND’, asks Andrew Tann
Earlier this week we heard from Andrew Tann, from Crapes Fruit Farm, near Aldham http://www.england-in-particular.info/goods/g-case1-22.html
‘Not a daft question. We have less than 10% here – like much of Eastern England and Northern Europe.’
‘It seems that several coincidental factors had pre disposed the trees to a modest crop expectation. Frost in North Essex on the morning of Good Friday and again 16th May has overridden everything else to blame! Northern Europe, Poland and North Germany, all similarly without’
Please let Andrew know the current situation in your patch andrew.tann1@virgin.net
