John Little from the Grass Roof Company will be holding a talk on green roofs and habitat walls and will show us just how easy they are to build.
John will also be talking about the work he does in housing estates where he has reduced the use of herbicides by sowing wild flower seeds which add biodiversity.
John regularly runs one or two day Green Roof Workshops throughout the year and shares his knowledge of 17 years of building green roofs for wildlife.
The talk is open to all Growing Together members, volunteers and staff and is to be held in the Cheryl Centre at Growing Together Gardens, 47 Fairfax Drive, Southend-on-Sea SS0 9AG (corner of Fairfax Drive and Prittlewell Chase).

This was an excellent afternoon and it was good to see some SEEOG members and friends there as well, safely out of the hail when we arrived! We’ve bought ‘Small Green Roofs’ for the library, written by Nigel Dunnett, Dusty Gedge, John Little and Edmund C. Snodgrass.
