We in the S E Essex Women’s Environmental Network are busy putting finishing touches to arrangements for this year’s Earth Day celebration on Sunday 22 April from 10.00am to 4.00pm.
This year we have moved to Growing Together in Fairfax Drive, Southend-on-Sea and we have decided to have as our theme ‘Re-skilling for Future & Fun.’ We’ve got a pretty full programme of events – talks, workshops, fun activities and lots of displays. This year we are including children over eight as long as they are accompanied by an adult. We’ll all bring lunch to share (no nuts).
Displays: Solar cookers, Preserving, Stag beetle hotel, Wormery
Activities: Knitting/Crochet, Drumming, Singing, Story telling, Foraging, Bread making
Talks: Bike maintenance, Chicken keeping, Natural beauty
